SKYLER REEVES

 

skyler300Skyler Reeves came to the Prescott restaurant scene with small town midwestern roots, big city experience and a special affinity for the beautiful mountain town he has made his home. He got his start in the hospitality business at a very young age cooking hot dogs at a local park concession stand in his hometown of Pinckney, Michigan. Since then Reeves’ career has steadily progressed over the years. He most recently held a position as Director of Operations for 213 Hospitality in Los Angeles, overseeing more than a dozen venues. They were best known for bringing ‘mixology’ to Los Angeles and helping revitalize the downtown neighborhood. After more than ten years in Los Angeles, Reeves felt the tug of a different lifestyle closer to his small town roots. With family ties in Prescott he happily left the big city behind and moved to Arizona in 2014.

Reeves feels that Barley Hound is a culmination of the experience he has acquired in his career so far. Having worked in many different types of concepts, he picks and chooses from what has worked best for him in the past. His goal with Barley Hound is to create a fun and inviting atmosphere without any pretentiousness, while not sacrificing quality in food and drink. When not at The Barley Hound, Skyler can be found playing with his two kids and enjoying the outdoors here in Prescott.
